We are Alaska Avalanche. We believe in empowering young athletes with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in ice hockey and in life. Our goal is to create a connected community by providing a safe, challenging, and fun environment that fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. 

The Alaska Avalanche Hockey Association was established in 1976. We are a Non-Profit Youth Hockey Program that provides high caliber coaching and great recreational hockey to Mat-su Valley youth wanting to elevate their game. You will skate at one of the premier ice rinks in the state of Alaska when you join the Avs program.

Our program offers a variety of opportunities for youth ranging from pre-k all the way to high school ages.

Here at Avalanche we offer flat rate monthly billing for ice bills across all age levels. This way families can plan for the season ahead. We have online bill pay options, and an annual raffle fundraisers that will reduce the cost of the season.
